Tutorial: Learning to hear loudness

This tutorial was presented by Dr. William Moylan to illustrate how to hear loudness relationships in a music mix. Several different versions of The Beatles’ song “Let It Be” are used to illustrate how to hear loudness levels and changes of levels. This video was recorded in the SRT program’s Critical Listening & Recording Studio, and was produced by SRT graduate students Becky ZuWallack (MM:SRT 2009) and Gavin Paddock (MM:SRT 2008).
